The compressed air is not pure and may contain inherent impurities harmful to the end-use application. Some common contaminants of compressed air are oil, water, dirt, small wear particles, and bacteria. These impurities mix and often form an acidic sludge that might increase the wear and tear of end applications like machinery, pneumatic tools, valves orifices and electro-pneumatic controls like relays. The compressed air must be totally clean and dry for increased reliability and energy savings.

AIRMATE REFRIGERATION AIR DRYERS
The condensate formed after the compression process needs to be removed from the compressed air system to prevent corrosion and damage to the pipes and end-use machine. The refrigeration dryer from ELGi is an ideal accessory for ensuring clean and dry compressed air for the reliable working of the compressed air systems. The ELGi dryers ensure the long life of compressed air systems by efficiently removing condensate and contaminants. The ELGi refrigeration air dryers use ozone friendly R 134A gas as the refrigerant with zero ozone-depletion potential as our commitment to a green and safe environment.
AIRMATE DESICCANT DRYER
The heatless twin tower desiccant dryer from ELGi removes moisture through absorption onto a granular desiccant bed from the air supply. Water vapour is absorbed as compressed air flows up through a packed bed of desiccant in tower 1. Meanwhile, tower two is rapidly depressurised, and dry purge air from the outlet of tower one is fed through a purge valve, expanded to near atmospheric pressure, and counter-flowed down through tower 2 to effect its regeneration granular desiccant bed. When the desiccant in tower 1 becomes saturated with water vapour, the air supply is switched back to tower two after being re-pressurised, and the cycle continues. As a default, all HLD models above 5X are provided with a dew point stretch cycle and purge optimiser.

The ELGi airmate air receiver is engineered to handle the fluctuation in the air demands, reduce wear and tear and increase the life of the end-use equipment.
AIRMATE FILTERS
ELGi airmate filters have a unique feature – the Alocrom aluminium treatment that ensures zero corrosion and carryover of corroded particles into the airline, which may cause blockages in sophisticated parts.
Different air filter accessories offered by ELGi are:
Type PF (Particulate Filter)
The PF filter is a highly efficient, general-purpose filter to remove particles down to 1 micron, including coalesced liquid water and oil.
Type FF (Fine Filter)
The ELGi fine filter is a high-efficient oil removal filter for removing particles down to 0.01 microns, including water and oil aerosols.
Type CF (Carbon Filter)
The Activated carbon filter from ELGi is ideal for removing oil vapour and hydrocarbon odour.
OIL-WATER SEPARATOR
Air compression results in condensate formation, a mix of water, oil, and dust particles. If not treated appropriately, it can have detrimental effects on the environment.
ELGi’s EOS series is specifically designed to maintain less than ten ppm of oil in the condensate before allowing the fluid to pass on to the environment. The multi-level separation process with efficient fibre absorbent and activated carbon ensures the contaminant levels are kept well within the statutory requirements.
AIRMATE DRAIN VALVES
The condensate in the dryers, after-coolers and air receivers must be removed frequently. This is done through drain valves. In ordinary drains, there is a loss of compressed air. ELGi airmate drains ensure zero air loss, consequently saving energy.
VARIABLE FREQUENCY DRIVES (VFD)
ELGI CONSERVE variable frequency drives match output with the demand by varying motor speed. The power consumption reduces according to the reduction in demand that helps eliminate the frequent load-unload cycle and the wasted power from the energy bill.
