ELGi’s oil-free air compressors provide consistent oil-free compressed air that meets the ISO8573-1 class 0 oil standards. The part where the air comes in direct contact with the metal surface inside the compressor is coated with food-grade material, ensuring consistent oil-free air free of metal debris. The pipes have special e-coating, which ensures consistently clean and oil-free air and optimized rotor clearances that provide consistent air delivery.

WORKING PRINCIPLE OF OIL-FREE PISTON AIR COMPRESSORS
Piston air compressors are positive-displacement compressors that use a crankshaft-driven piston and cylinder to compress the air. They rely on the reciprocating action of pistons to compress gas within cylinders and discharge it through a valve. Like a small internal combustion engine, a piston compressor has a crankshaft, a connecting rod and piston, a cylinder and a valve head. The movement of the piston creates a vacuum that sucks in the atmospheric air and then pushes the air to compress it and deliver it through a valve into high-pressure receiving tanks.
ELGi has adapted a dry crankcase that is entirely devoid of oil. The new generation of ELGi compressors significantly reduce operating costs and provides high-quality oil-free air that eliminates the usage of expensive downstream filters
