Out With the Old and in With the New

ARGOMANIZ opted for a full air audit from ELGi and concluded that the two air compressors in use at the production site were ineffective and needed to be more efficient. The audit report indicated that replacing the two compressors with an efficient one would reduce ARGOMANIZ energy consumption and offer cost savings.

ARGOMANIZ replaced its air compressors with a single unit of ELGi’s EG75V. Being best in class, the EG Series Compressor is suitable for industrial use and runs in two shifts to fulfill the production demand of ARGOMANIZ. The EG oil-lubricated screw air compressors follow the unique Oil Separation by Impact and Centrifugal action (OSBIC) process to separate air and oil in three stages efficiently. It meets the manufacturing needs of ARGOMANIZ by delivering consistent compressed air with minimum pressure drop. The compressed air system uses ELGi’s high-efficiency airends that are equipped with in-house developed η-V profile rotors. The rotors come with a 4/5 lobe combination and are designed to run perfectly, even at low rotor speed. By reducing pressure loss, the air compressors provide best-in-class energy efficiency. 

The compressor has been sourced from ELGi Compressors Europe, a subsidiary of ELGi Equipments Limited. Installation and maintenance services of the compressor have been provided by one of ELGi’s partners. The compressor has been running efficiently in two shifts per day since installation on 24 January 2022. The customer’s plan includes preventive maintenance to be conducted by the ELGi service partner. It will be conducted as per the service schedule, keeping in mind the compressor’s running time to ensure minimal downtime during maintenance.
