WHY ELGi AIRMATE REFRIGERATED PREMIUM SERIES DRYERS?

The ELGi AR Premium Refrigerated Air Dryer is an energy-efficient refrigerated dryer suitable for all applications that require CLASS 4 air and can replace non-cyclic dryers for its improved energy efficiency. Its highly efficient thermal mass control provides better energy savings during partial and no-load conditions.

High Energy Efficiency

The hermetically sealed refrigeration compressor in the dryer is highly energy efficient. The advantage of the Energy Saving Cyclic Refrigerated Air Dryer is that it saves energy by using an energy-saving circuit. This circuit stores cold thermal energy during regular operation and uses the stored cooling energy in ECO Mode for drying the air during partial load operations while maintaining the desired dew point. In ECO Mode, the dryer compressor & fan motors are switched off, thereby saving power.

Automatic Condensate Drain

The Condensate Drain provides an efficient solution for condensate removal. This automatic drain removes condensate from the system with no air loss and minimal maintenance.

Smart Controller

The controller displays the pressure dew point temperature (°C or °F) and indicates if the air dryer is running in energy-saving mode (ECO). The display also shows the total operation hours, fan operation, inlet air temperature, ambient temperature, and the periodic maintenance interval.

Integrated Filters*

The integrated filters improve performance with less pressure drop and help reduce additional piping before and after the dryer for external filters. The coalescing type inlet pre-filter filters dust particles up to 1 micron and oil down to 0.1 ppm. The coalescing type outlet fine-filter filters dust particles down to 0.1 microns and oil down to 0.01 ppm.

Highly efficient aluminum and SS plate-type heat exchanger for air and glycol, glycol and refrigerant ensures a longer life.

HOW DOES A COMPRESSED AIR DRYER WORK?

Air coming from any compressor is 100% saturated for that pressure and temperature combination. When air travels downstream, the temperature drops which results in the formation of condensation. This condensate water is detrimental to downstream equipment, and it may affect downstream critical processes or even cause corrosion. To avoid this compressed air dryers are used. There are different types of air dryers available based on the application. The most popular option is refrigerated air dryers.

In the majority of industrial applications, the compressed air requirement is always variable. In a conventional air dryer, the refrigeration cycle would work continuously. Whereas to cater to this variable requirement ELGi's Airmate Refrigerated Premium (AR P) Series is an energy-efficient option that during lower demand of compressed air shuts down the refrigeration cycle, thereby saving energy.
