Involves: Working in line with technology to improve energy efficiency of compressors,Design of shafts and gears selection of bearings and seals,Design of housings as per pressure vessel code.Preparation of casting and machine drawings asper ASME 14.5 GD&T standards,Tolerance stackup analysis,Thermodynamics and Heat transfer calculations life and reliability calculations,Take product design through to serial production,including finalisation of vendors,quality control documents,documentation for after sales services.
Benchmarking of competition,literaturesurvey and evaluate the state of the part,Testing of compressors using data acquisition systems,Trouble shooting and problem solving.

Support knowledge management iniatives and share the aquired knowledge and best practices across the design,manufacturing and quality teams.
Assist in implementing systems and design automation to improve the effectiveness of the design process.

Participate to develop a “designer friendly” CFD strategy to assist designers in performing the preliminary CFD analyses.
Assist in developing a reusable catalogue type specification for sub systems.

Should have an understanding of noise and vibration engineering basic principles and concepts with adequate mechanics & dynamics background.
Be able to produce practical solutions from proven academic concepts and mathematical models for works on transmission control of noise and vibration.
To make extensive noise and vibration measurements using dynamic signal analyzer, viz.
Vibration measurements for deflection shapes, mobility/impedance model, modal & energy approaches for dynamic models of structural components.
Sound pressure / intensity / array based measurements for noise source identifications and experimental validation of design solutions.
Adequate knowledge in signal processing for making sound and vibration measurements

Well versant with static and dynamic design concepts of mechanical components through analytical and numerical approaches, viz.

Have basic understanding of duct and enclosure acoustics.
